In early trading on Thursday, shares of Verizon Communications rose 2.1%, making it one of the top performers in the Dow Jones Industrial Average, with a year-to-date gain of 15.2%. In contrast, International Business Machines (IBM) saw a significant decline, falling 11.1% on the day and down 24.4% year-to-date.
Additionally, Salesforce shares decreased by 6.8%, while Caterpillar experienced a slight increase of 2.1%.
