The Trade Desk, Inc. (TTD) has announced a partnership with Agoda, a subsidiary of Booking Holdings Inc. (BKNG), to reshape travel advertising in the Asia-Pacific (APAC) region. This collaboration allows advertisers to utilize Agoda’s first-party travel data for more effective targeting of high-intent travelers starting from their planning phases. This partnership marks Agoda as The Trade Desk’s first online travel agency partner in APAC, expanding audience engagement across digital channels such as CTV, OTT, and mobile apps.
Agoda collects extensive first-party data on travel-related behaviors, providing insights into consumer interests and booking patterns. The Trade Desk aims to leverage this data to enhance its audience targeting capabilities, potentially acting as a significant growth catalyst as demand for travel advertising increases. Additionally, TTD’s shares have seen a decline of 72.6% over the past year, contrasting the Zacks Internet-Services industry’s 90.1% increase, while TTD maintains an attractive valuation with a forward price-to-sales ratio of 2.73X.
