Cotton Prices Rise in Early Thursday Trading

Cotton prices rose by 80 to 90 points on Thursday morning after experiencing midweek losses between 187 and 247 points in previous sessions. As of Wednesday, July 26 Cotton futures closed at 72.09 cents, down 187 points, while December and March futures closed at 76.26 cents and 77.67 cents, down 247 and 239 points, respectively.

On June 23, The Seam reported the sale of 88 bales at an average price of 72.15 cents, while the Cotlook A Index was down 30 points at 88.30 cents. ICE certified cotton stocks remained unchanged at 189,447 bales, and the Adjusted World Price decreased by 111 points to 62.37 cents/lb, with an update expected on Thursday.
