Midday Decline in Corn Prices with Partial Losses

Corn prices saw slight declines on Friday, with July options expiring today and first notice day starting Monday. The CmdtyView national average cash corn price is $3.87 ¾ per bushel, down ¼ cent. In trading, July corn is priced at $4.14 ¼, September at $4.23 ¼, and December at $4.42 ¾, all reflecting minor decreases.

As of June 18, USDA’s Export Sales data indicated 84.667 million metric tons (MMT) of corn sold for the 2025/26 season, meeting 100% of the USDA export forecast and surpassing previous years’ levels. Actual shipments totaled 67.81 MMT, equating to 80% of the USDA estimate. For the 2026/27 season, accumulated sales stand at 5.379 MMT, 49.7% larger year-over-year.

Precipitation forecasts indicate limited rainfall across Nebraska, South Dakota, Iowa, and parts of Minnesota and Wisconsin, with expected totals of 1 to 2 inches in the Eastern Corn Belt. The 8-14 day outlook suggests warmer temperatures and below-average precipitation across that region.
