Tesla’s Q2 Delivery Projections
Tesla is expected to report approximately 406,000 vehicle deliveries for the second quarter of 2026, according to consensus estimates. This figure would mark a slight increase from the 384,122 vehicles delivered in the same quarter a year prior. The announcement is anticipated in early July, amidst concerns about demand in the U.S. market, which has cooled following the expiration of federal tax credits.
In 2025, Tesla delivered 1,636,129 vehicles, reflecting an 8.6% decline from the previous year. The first quarter of 2026 showed a recovery with a 6.3% year-over-year increase to 358,023 deliveries, although the gap between production and deliveries widened, potentially troubling investors. The company is particularly looking to Europe for growth, where registrations more than doubled year-over-year in May, while demand in China remains stable, aided by the renewed interest in the Model Y.
Meeting or exceeding the 406,000 mark would indicate ongoing recovery for Tesla’s automotive division, while forecasts rising to about 420,000 would signal stronger-than-expected momentum. Conversely, failing to surpass the year-ago figure could reinforce concerns regarding production outpacing demand as the market dynamics shift.
