AI Hyperscaler Spending Projections
This year, major AI hyperscalers, including Nvidia and Alphabet, are projected to collectively spend around $650 billion on data center capital expenditures. Looking ahead to 2024, spending is expected to rise dramatically to an estimated $1 trillion, according to Nvidia.
During its Q1 2026 conference call, Alphabet noted that it anticipates “significantly” higher capital expenditures in 2027, aligning with Nvidia’s forecast. Concurrently, Broadcom predicts over $100 billion in AI semiconductor revenue by 2027, up from its current total revenue of $75 billion.
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing (TSMC) CEO C.C. Wei stated that strong chip demand is expected to persist through at least 2030, bolstering TSMC’s position as a leading chip manufacturer amidst the AI boom.
