VeriSign (NASDAQ: VRSN) reported record second-quarter results for 2026, with domain name registrations increasing to 12.7 million, up from 11.5 million in the previous quarter. The total combined .com and .net domain name base reached 179.1 million, marking an increase of 3.05 million from the first quarter of 2026.
The company generated revenue of $435 million, a 6% increase year-over-year, while net income rose to $217 million from $207 million a year earlier. Diluted earnings per share improved to $2.38 compared to $2.21 in Q2 2025. VeriSign also raised its full-year domain name growth guidance to between 5.2% and 6%.
Additionally, VeriSign announced the .web domain’s delegation into the global Domain Name System root zone, set to launch later this year. The board approved an increase in the share repurchase program by $884 million and declared a quarterly dividend of $0.81 per share, payable on August 27, 2026.
