Soybeans Maintain Midday Gains After Thursday Surge

Soybean contracts are trading 1 to 3 cents higher at midday, with the cmdtyView national average cash bean price rising by 5.75 cents to $11.52. The USDA reported a private export sale of 132,000 metric tons of soybeans to China for the 2026/27 crop year.

Recent USDA Export Sales data indicated old crop soybean sales for the week of July 23 at 302,260 metric tons, exceeding estimates of 200,000 to 300,000 metric tons, marking a 10.49% increase from the same week last year. New crop sales reached 1.333 million metric tons, above the expected range of 0.7 to 1 million metric tons, while soybean meal sales fell short at 114,733 metric tons.

Forecasts for the next week predict 1 to 2 inches of rainfall across eastern Nebraska and the eastern portions of the Dakotas, Minnesota, Missouri, Wisconsin, Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio.
