Shopify Inc. (SHOP) will report its second-quarter 2026 results on August 5, 2026. The company anticipates year-over-year revenue growth in the high-20% range, with the Zacks Consensus Estimate for revenues at $3.43 billion, indicating a 28.11% increase from the previous year. The earnings consensus is pegged at 39 cents per share, reflecting an 11.43% growth year-over-year.

Factors contributing to Shopify’s expected growth include sustained expansion in Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV) across various merchant sizes and regions, as well as an increase in international adoption. In the first quarter, Shopify Payments processed $67 billion in GMV, which was a 41% year-over-year increase. Meanwhile, the Shop app alone registered 70% GMV growth.

However, the company may face pressure on profitability due to the faster growth of lower-margin Merchant Solutions revenues compared to Subscription Solutions revenues, alongside rising technology and credit-related costs. Year-to-date, Shopify shares have dropped by 27.2%, while the broader Zacks Computer & Technology sector has risen by 11.7%.
