Pegasystems (NASDAQ:PEGA) COO and CFO Ken Stillwell announced the company’s focus on enhancing enterprise workflows that require reliable and predictable outcomes, especially in regulated sectors, during Oppenheimer’s 29th Annual Technology Conference. He emphasized Pega’s position in the market, catering to large organizations that seek customizable workflows rather than generic applications.
According to Stillwell, generative AI is integrated into Pega’s design and execution processes but is not suitable for every enterprise task. He noted that Pega does not charge customers separately for AI token usage, instead managing these costs internally. The company aims to improve its sales pipeline and customer engagement, particularly regarding AI, after reporting disappointing annual contract value growth in the first half of the year.
Pegasystems is currently serving between 700 to 750 customers and sees significant growth potential. Stillwell conveyed confidence moving into the second half of the year, highlighting customers’ increasing understanding and differentiation of AI applications. The company maintains its financial discipline, aiming for free cash flow margins above 30% and a “rule of 40-plus” profile.
