EYPT Options Trading Set to Start on November 20th

EyePoint Inc (Symbol: EYPT) has launched new options contracts for November 20th, including a put option at a $5.00 strike price with a current bid of 95 cents. Selling this put contract would require an investor to buy EYPT shares at $5.00, effectively lowering the cost basis to $4.05, which is a 4% discount compared to the current stock price of $5.20.

On the call side, a November 20th call option at the $7.50 strike price is currently bid at 55 cents. If an investor purchases shares at $5.20 and sells this call as a covered call, they could achieve a total return of 54.81% if the stock reaches the strike price by expiration. The potential for either option to expire worthless is noted, with current odds of the put expiring worthless at 67% and the call at 56%.
