Stanley Druckenmiller’s Duquesne Family Office reported a significant shift in its portfolio in its second-quarter 2023 filing with the SEC, notably increasing its stake in Amazon by more than 1,000%, bringing it to 541,600 shares valued at around $129 million. Additionally, the firm initiated a new investment in Alphabet, acquiring 336,300 shares worth approximately $120 million.

In a dramatic move, Duquesne entirely exited positions in five semiconductor companies—Micron Technology, Intel, Broadcom, Lattice Semiconductor, and Coherent—by the end of June. The firm’s total reported holdings surged from about $3.4 billion to $5.2 billion, with the number of positions increasing from 70 to 95. This strategic realignment reflects a focus on companies heavily investing in artificial intelligence infrastructure.
