On Thursday, the wheat market exhibited mixed activity across three exchanges. Chicago SRW contracts remained steady, while KC HRW futures decreased by 2 to 3 cents. In contrast, MPLS spring wheat increased by 5 to 6 cents.
The USDA’s weekly Export Sales report indicated total wheat sales for the 2026/27 marketing year were 393,655 metric tons in the week ending August 13, surpassing estimates of 200,000 to 450,000 metric tons but still 24.26% lower than the same week last year. Additionally, the International Grains Council reported a production decrease of 4 million metric tons to 817 million metric tons and a usage decline of 2 million metric tons to 826 million metric tons.
As of September 26, CBOT wheat prices were as follows: September at $6.80 1/4 (unchanged), December at $6.98 1/2 (up 1 cent), KCBT September at $7.59 1/4 (down 2 3/4 cents), and MIAX September at $7.00 (up 6 cents).
