Valeura Energy (TSE:VLE), headquartered in Singapore, is expanding its oil operations in Southeast Asia, primarily within the Gulf of Thailand. The company currently produces approximately 22,000 barrels of oil per day from four offshore fields, with notable projects including the Jasmine field, which is projected to reach its 100 millionth barrel soon, and the Wassana redevelopment, expected to boost production from 3,000 to 10,000 barrels per day by late next year.
In the second quarter of this year, Valeura generated $150 million in cash flow, with an impressive realized oil price of $106 per barrel. The company reported $154 million in cash flow and had over CAD 300 million in cash on hand and no debt at quarter’s end. Valeura aims to acquire a 40% interest in the G1 and G3 gas assets and expects to finalize a gas development investment decision later this year, further diversifying its portfolio.
Valeura’s average annual reserves replacement ratio was 218% over the past three years, with total reserves increasing from 29 million barrels at the end of 2022 to 58 million barrels in 2025. The company’s market capitalization stands at around CAD 1 billion, and it is currently exploring several potential acquisitions that could significantly enhance its production business.
