Spartan Delta Focuses on Duvernay Expansion Amidst Strong Cash Flow from Deep Basin

Spartan Delta (TSE:SDE) is focused on production growth in its Duvernay position in Alberta, with Chief Operating Officer Martin Malek revealing plans during an ATB Capital Markets presentation. The company reported a second-quarter production of nearly 53,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day and aims to exceed 62,000 BOE per day by 2027. Spartan Delta’s market capitalization stands at approximately CAD$2.7 billion, with an enterprise value around CAD$3 billion.

Over the past two and a half years, Spartan Delta has accumulated over 550,000 net acres in the Duvernay, positioning it as one of the largest landholders in Canada. Its 2026 capital budget is pegged at CAD$550 million, targeting production of 54,000 BOE per day. The company’s oil and condensate output increased to over 10,000 barrels per day by the end of the latest second quarter, a rising trend propelled by technological advancements in drilling.

Spartan Delta’s Deep Basin operations continue to support cash flow, with nearly doubled acreage obtained at minimal costs. The company recently acquired additional infrastructure, including a gas plant, enhancing its operational efficiency and furthering Duvernay growth plans.
