**Peloton Interactive Reports First-Ever Profit Amid Ongoing Subscriber Decline**

Peloton Interactive (NASDAQ: PTON) announced its first positive net income of $63.2 million for the fiscal year 2026, yet shares fell by 16% following the quarterly results release on August 6. The fitness company has struggled to grow its subscriber base, losing over 9% of its connected-fitness subscribers, which now stands at more than 2.5 million. Revenue also shrank by 1.8% to $2.4 billion, marking five consecutive years of decline.

Despite successful cost-cutting measures that reduced expenses by $100 million, analysts forecast a slight dip in revenue for fiscal 2027, projecting it between $2.3 billion and $2.4 billion. The current market valuation reflects a company with a price-to-sales ratio of 1, indicating mixed investor sentiment regarding Peloton’s potential recovery.
