Broadcom’s Semiconductor Solutions revenues surged 79% year-over-year to a record $15 billion in Q2 of fiscal 2026, driven mainly by a 143% jump in AI semiconductor revenues to $10.8 billion. AI semiconductor bookings crossed $30 billion, indicating strong demand. Broadcom anticipates AI semiconductor revenues will reach $16 billion in Q3 of fiscal 2026, reflecting over 200% year-over-year growth.
Broadcom’s growth stems from rising demand for custom XPUs as major AI companies expand their infrastructure. The Semiconductor Solutions segment benefited significantly from networking products, which represented nearly 40% of AI semiconductor revenues in Q2. Broadcom is advancing its AI XPV platform with several partners, targeting over 20 gigawatts of compute capacity by 2028.
Despite this growth, Broadcom faces fierce competition from NVIDIA and AMD. NVIDIA’s comprehensive AI-infrastructure platform and AMD’s expanding AI offerings threaten Broadcom’s market position. Currently, Broadcom’s shares show a 6.2% year-to-date increase, lagging behind the broader tech sector’s 15.4% growth, with a current forward price/sales ratio of 10.38 compared to the sector’s 6.31.
