908 Devices (NASDAQ:MASS) reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of $16.1 million, a 23% increase year over year, with a narrowed adjusted EBITDA loss of less than $2 million, improving by 50%. The company focuses on expanding handheld chemical detection tools for public health and safety, including CBRNE defense applications. As of the end of the quarter, 908 Devices had an installed base of over 4,100 devices across 700 accounts and $101.5 million in cash with no debt.
During the Midwest IDEAS Conference, CEO Kevin Knopp highlighted that state and local customers accounted for over 50% of revenue, driven by the opioid crisis, increased defense spending, and safety risks. The company shipped 198 devices in the quarter and recently secured significant orders, including a $6 million ProtectIR order from a correctional agency in the Asia-Pacific region and initial deliveries of NIRLab devices for law enforcement. For 2026, 908 Devices raised its revenue outlook, projecting $68 million to $70 million, a growth of 21% to 25% over the previous year.
