Soybean Prices Show Steady Gains This Monday

Soybean trading experienced modest gains at midday, with prices reflecting a 20.5-cent increase, bringing the cmdtyView national average cash price to $12.53 3/4. As of September 26, soybeans for September were at $12.73 1/2 and posted a minor decrease of 2.75 cents. In contrast, soymeal futures fell by $2.80 to $3, while soy oil rose by 6 points.

The USDA reported a private export sale of 159,000 metric tons of soybeans to an unknown destination for the marketing year 2026/27. Additionally, soybean export shipments for the week ending August 27 totaled 250,801 metric tons, a significant decline of 41.7% from the previous week and 49% lower than the same period last year, with Mexico being the top destination at 53,896 metric tons. The cumulative exports for the marketing year 2025/26 stand at 40.744 million metric tons, down 18.2% year-over-year.

Commitment of Traders data revealed that managed money increased their net long position by 46,592 contracts, bringing the total to 198,254 contracts as of August 25.
