Netflix Faces Growth Challenges Amid Streaming Industry Slowdown

Netflix (NASDAQ: NFLX) reported a 13.4% year-over-year revenue growth for Q2 2026, reaching $12.56 billion, which fell short of analysts’ expectations of nearly $12.59 billion. This marks the slowest growth pace in the past four quarters, with revenue guidance for the current quarter also disappointing at only an 11.7% increase compared to Q3 2025.

The streaming giant still maintains its dominant position in the U.S. market, despite a slight decline in viewer engagement. According to Nielsen, Netflix remains the leading streaming service, while revenue from its European and Middle East operations increased by 11% year-over-year, and Latin America saw a growth of 16%. Notably, the company achieved a net income of approximately $6.0 billion, representing 24% of its total revenue, underscoring its profitability amidst a challenging market environment.
