Meta Partners with Shopify and Instacart to Launch AI Agent Muse

Meta Platforms (NASDAQ:META) revealed partnerships with Shopify (NASDAQ:SHOP) and Instacart (NASDAQ:CART) to enhance its AI agent, Muse, announced this week. Muse is designed to assist users in interacting with applications to complete tasks efficiently. Meta’s recent subscription service, Meta One, aims to generate new revenue streams, with pricing ranging from $20 to $100 per month.

On September 22, 2023, Instacart’s CTO Anirban Kundu mentioned that connecting with Muse would simplify online grocery shopping, potentially engaging new customers in e-commerce. Meanwhile, Shopify’s CEO expressed that Muse would streamline the purchasing process for users through its platform.

Analysts, including those from J.P. Morgan, have high expectations for Muse, comparing its potential impact to that of ChatGPT. This development coincides with Meta’s stock performance, which has seen a more than 30% increase in the last month, following CEO Mark Zuckerberg’s ambitious vision for integrating AI into user experiences.
