Cellectar Biosciences (NASDAQ:CLRB) witnessed an 8% surge in midday trading on Monday following the release of encouraging results from a Phase 2b study of its phospholipid radiotherapeutic conjugate, iopofosine l 131. The study focused on its effectiveness in treating Waldenstrom’s macroglobulinemia (WM).

In a significant development, the biotech company announced complete central nervous system (CNS) clearance in a patient with WM and CNS involvement, also referred to as Bing-Neel Syndrome, who had previously been exposed to BTK inhibitors. This development underscores the potential of the product in addressing CNS malignancies.
