Super Micro Computer, Inc. (SMCI) has emerged as a leader in the AI infrastructure sector, showcasing its competitive advantage by rapidly launching new AI systems. In Q4 of fiscal 2026, SMCI shipped products that support several NVIDIA GPUs, including the NVL72 and RTX 6000 Pro lines, and is also preparing systems for NVIDIA’s Vera Rubin and Vera CPU platforms. Additionally, the company has collaborated with Advanced Micro Devices to introduce the Helios product line and MI450 Total Solution, while maintaining support for its existing MI350 and MI355X systems.

SMCI is projected to scale its production capacity substantially in fiscal 2027, aiming for over 6,000 racks per month, with more than 3,000 being direct liquid-cooled racks. This growth highlights the increasing demand for advanced cooling in AI data centers due to rising rack density. Despite a year-to-date share growth of 27.8%, SMCI’s performance lags behind the Zacks Computer – Storage Devices industry’s 244.3% growth.

As it navigates competition from major firms like Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and Dell Technologies (DELL), SMCI’s diverse approach—including a pivot towards Data Center Building Block Solutions—positions it well for future market transitions. The company is currently trading at a forward P/S multiple of 0.35X, significantly lower than the industry average of 3.13X.
