Oklo Inc. (OKLO) marked its first revenue report in Q2 2026 with $1.2 million, up from none in the same quarter last year. The revenue breakdown includes $800,000 from engineering and consulting services, $168,000 from manufacturing, and $242,000 from other activities, primarily driven by acquisitions in 2026. However, losses widened to 28 cents per share from 18 cents a year prior, exceeding analyst estimates of a 17-cent loss. Research and development expenses soared to $39.5 million, reflecting increased spending on nuclear projects and hiring.
As of June 2026, Oklo held approximately $3 billion in liquid assets, allowing for substantial funding for ongoing development. However, plans to increase 2026 operating cash use to $120-$150 million and property spending to $400-$500 million raise concerns about financial sustainability. Despite its first revenues and operational progress, the company faces significant competitive pressure from peers like NuScale Power and NANO Nuclear Energy, which are advancing their own technologies.
Investors are cautious as loss projections suggest further deterioration through 2027, with expected losses of 85 cents per share in 2026 and 94 cents in 2027. With continual losses and rising operational costs, OKLO’s stock, down 34.5% year-to-date, reflects uncertainty about its future profitability and commercialization prospects.
