Nvidia’s Earnings Report and Market Insights
Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) is set to release its fiscal 2027 second-quarter earnings on August 26, 2023, amid heightened investor interest due to its pivotal role in the expanding AI market. CEO Jensen Huang has projected that Nvidia could generate $1 trillion in sales from its Blackwell and Vera Rubin GPUs between 2025 and 2027.
The company’s data center division, which plays a crucial role in AI, generated approximately $194 billion in revenue during fiscal 2026. Wall Street consensus estimates project this revenue to rise to about $368 billion in fiscal 2027 and $531 billion in fiscal 2028, totaling roughly $1.09 trillion over three years. Additionally, Nvidia has launched its new Vera CPU designed for agentic AI, targeting an estimated $200 billion market, with expectations to generate around $20 billion in CPU revenue this year.
Key competitors, including Intel, suggest a shift in AI demand from GPUs to CPUs, approximating that the ratio of CPUs to GPUs for AI tasks has moved from 1:8 to 1:4. Bank of America predicts a significant market expansion for CPUs, rising from $35 billion in 2025 to $170 billion by 2030. In contrast, the GPU market may grow to $486 billion by 2033, positioning Nvidia strategically in this evolving landscape.
