Apple Surpasses Nvidia as Largest Company Globally
As of market close on July 28, Apple (NASDAQ: AAPL) has overtaken Nvidia (NASDAQ: NVDA) with a market valuation of $4.95 trillion compared to Nvidia’s $4.76 trillion. This makes Apple the world’s largest company, while Alphabet (NASDAQ: GOOG) stands third at approximately $4 trillion.
Analysts suggest that Apple’s high valuation, despite its moderate growth rate of 17%, is unsustainable. In contrast, Nvidia, with projected 82% growth for the remainder of the year and 43% for 2027, is seen as undervalued. If Nvidia’s stock were valued similarly to Apple’s based on price-to-earnings ratios, it would be significantly larger, with a target price of $257 per share by next year.
