Arabica coffee prices rose by 1.33% to close at +4.25 on Monday, while robusta coffee prices increased by 0.18%, gaining +7. The uptick in coffee prices came amid a delay in Brazil’s coffee harvest, which is currently 64% complete as of July 15, significantly behind last year’s pace of 77% and the five-year average of 70%, according to Safras & Mercado.
ICE arabica coffee inventories reached a 2.25-year low of 329,870 bags, whereas robusta inventories climbed to a 3.75-month high of 4,239 lots. Recent heavy rains in Brazil have disrupted farming activities, impacting crop quality as farmers delay sales, anticipating higher prices influenced by potential El Niño conditions that could impact the 2026/27 coffee crop.
