Brookfield Asset Management Aims to Double Fee-Bearing Capital by 2031

Brookfield Asset Management (NYSE:BAM) announced plans to double its fee-bearing capital to approximately $2.6 trillion by 2031 during its 2026 Investor Day. The company currently manages $670 billion in fee-bearing capital, having raised $163 billion in the past year, and doubled its deployment to $160 billion. Brookfield’s Chief Executive Officer Connor Teskey highlighted the momentum from its July acquisition of Oaktree, which expanded its credit platform to $416 billion.

Key targets include increasing flagship fundraising from $129 billion to $175 billion over the next five years and nearly doubling complementary strategies from $195 billion raised in the past five years. The company projects revenue growth to nearly $11 billion by 2031, with fee-related earnings per share expected to rise from $1.97 to $4.08.

Brookfield’s strategic focus is on sectors driving AI, energy demand, and real assets, with notable programs such as a $25 billion partnership with Bloom Energy for data center power solutions. The company anticipates growth in infrastructure and real estate lending, underscored by nearly $60 billion in asset-based financing transactions.
