Motorola Solutions Chief Operating Officer Jack Molloy announced at a Truist conference that the company is strategically executing across its critical networks and command center software while expanding its operations of recently acquired Silvus Technologies and D-Fend Solutions. The company expects record second-quarter orders and double-digit growth for its product offerings in the second half of 2023, including anticipated mission-critical networks growth of 10% to 11% and command center software growth of about 15% by 2026.
Following its August 2025 acquisition of Silvus, Motorola Solutions projects approximately $850 million in sales for 2026 from this division. Additionally, the company recently completed the acquisition of D-Fend Solutions, focused on counter-drone technology, which has been deployed at major events like the FIFA World Cup and U.S. Open. D-Fend was also selected for a $1.5 billion U.S. Department of Homeland Security grant program aimed at counter-drone mitigation.
Molloy emphasized a five- to seven-year refresh cycle for its D-Series infrastructure, supporting 40 U.S. statewide networks and 10 Canadian provincial networks, while also addressing challenges from rising component costs by implementing price increases. The company is committed to allocating 60% of its capital towards mergers and acquisitions and share repurchases.
