Cerebras Systems (CBRS) and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) are positioned to benefit from the booming AI infrastructure market. In the second quarter of 2026, CBRS reported core revenues of $209.9 million, a 103% increase year-over-year, with core cloud revenues rising 287% to $127.7 million. CBRS has secured over 600 megawatts of data-center capacity for delivery through 2027 and anticipates a more than 10-fold increase in manufacturing capacity in 2026. Meanwhile, AMD reported second-quarter revenues of $11.5 billion, a 50% year-over-year increase, with data center revenues more than doubling to $6.7 billion, accounting for 58% of total revenues.

CBRS’s partnerships with OpenAI and AWS are pivotal, ensuring long-term growth potential, while CBRS expects core revenues to triple in 2027, backed by $25.4 billion in Remaining Performance Obligations. In contrast, AMD’s broader AI portfolio and profitability, evidenced by a non-GAAP gross margin of 56% and operating income of $3.1 billion, reinforce its strong financial position. Although both companies face challenges – CBRS with near-term profitability and customer concentration, and AMD with potential weaknesses in its client and gaming sectors – currently, CBRS may appeal more to investors seeking rapid growth despite inherent risks.
