Corn Ends Turnaround Tuesday on a Strong Note

Corn futures rebounded, with September contracts closing at $4.58 ½, up 6¾ cents, and December contracts closing at $4.80 ½, up 6½ cents. The CmdtyView national average cash corn price increased by 6¾ cents, reaching $4.28 ¼.

As of July 26, 78% of the U.S. corn crop is silking, surpassing the 5-year average by 4 percentage points. However, the USDA reported a 4% decline in corn condition ratings, now at 63% good to excellent. Colorado saw the largest drop in ratings with a 29-point decline.

Additionally, a private export sale of 197,272 metric tons of corn was reported for the 2026/27 shipping year, while Brazilian corn exports in July are estimated at 3.3 million metric tons, 0.4 million metric tons lower than last week’s estimate but significantly higher than 2.43 million metric tons from the previous year.
