The nearby cash corn price fell 2 ¾ cents to $4.16 ¼, while December 2026 corn closed at $4.68 ½, also down by 3 ¼ cents. Total corn export sales reached 362,916 metric tons for the week of July 23, marking a 3-week high and up 6.5% compared to the same week last year.
Key buyers included Colombia, which purchased 173,900 metric tons, and Mexico, with sales of 129,800 metric tons. Additionally, there were 1.062 million metric tons booked for the 2026/27 marketing year, although this represents a 43.8% decline from the same period last year. Weather forecasts predict 1 to 2 inches of rain across eastern Nebraska and parts of the Dakotas, northern Missouri, and several Midwestern states over the next few days.
