Cotton Market Ends Tuesday with Stable Trading Trends

Cotton futures experienced mixed trading on Tuesday, with October contracts closing at 84.12 cents, up 5 points, while December contracts fell to 85.41 cents, down 7 points. Notably, the Brugler500 index declined by 9 points to 310, with condition ratings for cotton at 38% good/excellent, a decrease of 2 percentage points from the previous week.

Crop condition deteriorations were reported primarily in Texas (-11), Kansas (-24), Oklahoma (-20), and several other states, although North Carolina and Mississippi noted improvements. Additionally, 892 bales were sold in Monday’s auction at an average price of 75.15 cents per bale. The Adjusted World Price was raised by 190 points last week to reach 68.19 cents per pound.
