Cotton Prices Decline on Friday

Cotton futures are down 74 to 95 points across most contracts as of Friday, amid external market pressures. The Cotlook A Index increased by 75 points on July 23, reaching 90.35 cents, while ICE certified cotton stocks remain steady at 94,235 bales.

As of the latest Export Sales data, 2025/26 cotton sales total 12.003 million running bales (RB), surpassing USDA’s export projection by 102%. New crop sales stand at 2.526 million RB, reflecting a 28.05% increase compared to the previous year. The Adjusted World Price has been reduced by 155 points to 63.82 cents per pound.

Additionally, the NOAA forecasts minimal precipitation across much of Texas, with 1 to 2 inches expected in parts of Alabama and Georgia over the next week.
