Advanced Micro Devices (NASDAQ: AMD) reported a 38% year-over-year increase in revenue for Q1 2026, reaching $10.25 billion. Adjusted earnings rose 43% to $1.37 per share, surpassing analysts’ expectations of $1.29 per share on revenue of $9.89 billion. Significant growth was driven by a 57% surge in data center revenue, buoyed by rising demand for AMD’s Epyc server CPUs and Instinct GPUs.
The company’s data center business is forecasted to continue its upward trajectory, with expected server CPU market growth now projected at over 35% annually, potentially generating $120 billion by 2030. AMD anticipates a revenue increase of 46% in the upcoming quarter, with earnings projected to rise 234% to $1.61 per share. Currently, AMD holds a market cap of $731 billion, positioning it within reach of the $1 trillion market cap milestone as demand for AI and data infrastructure expands.
