Cummins Inc. (CMI) reported second-quarter 2026 adjusted earnings of $6.94 per share on August 1, 2026, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $7.33 by 5.3%. Revenues increased 9.4% year over year to $9.46 billion, surpassing the expected $9.33 billion by 1.38%. The growth was primarily driven by global power generation demand and recovering North American truck activity.
In this quarter, total engine shipments rose 9.7% to 161,200 units, with engine segment sales increasing to $3.08 billion despite a decline in segment EBITDA to $386 million. Notably, the components segment rose 7% to $2.89 billion, while the power systems segment sales surged 19% to $2.26 billion. Cummins generated record operating cash flow of $1.5 billion and raised its full-year revenue outlook to a 10-13% increase, up from 8-11%.
