Key Financial Insights from AMD’s Q2 Performance
In Q2 2025, data center products generated 58% of Advanced Micro Devices’ (NASDAQ: AMD) revenue, amounting to $6.7 billion out of a record total of $11.5 billion. This marks a significant increase from 42% the previous year, driven by a 107% year-over-year growth in data center sales.
For Q3 2025, AMD expects nearly $13 billion in total revenue, with data center revenue projected to reach approximately $8.2 billion, representing 63% of total sales. Furthermore, AMD’s management anticipates that data center revenue will more than double by 2027, fueled by partnerships with OpenAI, Meta, and Anthropic to deploy significant GPU resources.
Overall, the performance highlights AMD’s strategic focus on its data center segment, which has become a dominant growth driver as client and gaming sectors exhibit slower growth rates.
