In early trading on Monday, shares of Caterpillar surged 2.5%, making it the top performer in the Dow Jones Industrial Average, with a notable year-to-date gain of 76.4%. In contrast, Home Depot traded down 1.9% for the day and has seen a year-to-date decline of approximately 4.7%.

Amazon.com also faced a downturn, trading down 1.8%, while Cisco Systems saw a modest increase of 1.4% during the same trading session.
