Enduring Soybean Weakness Persisting into Friday

Soybeans are trading with losses of 1 to 2 cents as of Friday’s midday, with the cmdtyView national average cash bean price at $10.60 1/2. Soymeal futures show mixed results, while soy oil futures are down by 20 to 36 points. USDA Export Sales data indicates 2025/26 soybean sales at 40.15 MMT, making up 97.7% of the revised USDA projection, with shipments at 36 MMT, or 87.6% of the new figure.

The WASDE report cites steady old crop US stocks at 340 million bushels and new crop stocks remaining at 310 million bushels. Brazilian production remains unchanged at 180 MMT, while Argentina’s increased by 2 MMT to 50 MMT. NOPA will update May crush numbers on Monday, with expectations at 216.02 million bushels.
