Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) has significantly improved its data center segment, reporting a 57% year-over-year revenue increase in its latest quarterly earnings on May 5. However, its overall growth has been lagging behind Nvidia and Intel in AI computing and other sectors.
Despite AMD’s revenue growth in client and gaming segments at 23% and 6%, respectively, it trades at 147 times trailing earnings and 61 times forward earnings. In contrast, Nvidia, the market leader, trades at 26 times forward earnings, making it an arguably more attractive investment option.
