On Friday, shares in the oil and gas refining and marketing sectors increased by approximately 1.4%, with Equinor leading the gains at up 3.8% and Gevo rising by 2.8%.
Insurance broker stocks also showed strength, collectively increasing by about 1.4%. Noteworthy performers included Travelers Companies, which saw an 8.4% rise, and Kinsale Capital Group, which increased by 3.6%.
