Qualcomm Incorporated (QCOM) reported automotive revenue of $1.33 billion for Q2 of fiscal 2026, marking a 38% increase year-over-year. This growth is driven by the adoption of its fourth-generation Snapdragon Digital Chassis, which integrates advanced vehicle technologies. Currently, over 1 million vehicles are using Snapdragon Ride processors for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving.

Qualcomm projects its automotive revenue to surpass an annualized run rate of $5 billion for the first time and aims to exceed $6 billion by the end of fiscal 2026. The company anticipates Q3 automotive revenue growth of approximately 50% year-over-year, outperforming the previous quarter’s growth rate. In fiscal 2027, Qualcomm expects to continue gaining market share, particularly in ADAS.

Despite facing competition from NVIDIA and Intel, Qualcomm remains a key player in the automotive sector. The company is set to commercialize its fifth-generation Snapdragon Digital Chassis which promises three times higher CPU and GPU performance, and twelve times higher NPU performance compared to earlier versions.
