Among the underlying components of the Russell 3000 index, GlobalFoundries Inc (GFS) reported a notable options trading volume of 36,891 contracts, translating to approximately 3.7 million underlying shares—51.8% of its average daily volume of 7.1 million shares. A significant portion of this trading involved the $100 strike call option expiring on July 17, 2026, with 14,727 contracts changing hands, representing about 1.5 million underlying shares.

Lazard (LAZ) experienced an options trading volume of 5,883 contracts, equating to approximately 588,300 underlying shares, which is 50.1% of its average daily trading volume of 1.2 million shares. The $50 strike call option that expires on June 18, 2026, saw the highest activity, with 2,937 contracts traded, representing around 293,700 underlying shares.

Palvella Therapeutics Inc (PVLA) recorded a volume of 1,080 contracts today, equivalent to about 108,000 underlying shares, or 49.2% of its monthly average daily volume of 219,345 shares. The $95 strike put option expiring on July 17, 2026, was particularly active, with 1,000 contracts traded, representing roughly 100,000 underlying shares.
