Home Depot, Inc. (HD) is enhancing its supply chain and fulfillment capabilities, focusing on quicker product delivery. In Q2 of fiscal 2026, over 65% of in-stock parcel deliveries were completed either the same day or the next day. The company launched nationwide Express Delivery, offering tens of thousands of products within three hours, with most orders being delivered in under an hour.
Significant improvements have also been made in the delivery of big and bulky items, with lead times decreasing by approximately 45% in the last 18 months. About 55% of these deliveries now arrive within two days. Furthermore, Home Depot is addressing urgent appliance replacement needs by stocking select items for next-day delivery, now available to nearly 60% of the U.S. population.
Despite a challenging market, Home Depot shares have decreased 23.5% over the past year, compared to the industry’s 29.4% decline. The company currently has a forward price-to-earnings ratio of 20.55X, slightly above the industry average of 18.71X, with projected EPS growth of 2.1% for fiscal 2026 and 6.9% for fiscal 2027.
