Louis Navellier, an investment advisor, developed the Stock Grader system after creating a model that outperformed the S&P 500 during his graduate studies. The system assigns a letter grade from A to F based on two key characteristics: Fundamental and Quantitative Grades. This methodology highlights crucial metrics such as earnings growth and cash flow to identify strong stocks.
One prominent example is Agnico Eagle Mines Ltd. (AEM), which Navellier recommended in August 2024 when gold prices surged due to geopolitical tensions. The stock has since gained nearly 180%. Currently, it retains an A grade from Stock Grader, indicating strong fundamentals and institutional buying pressure.
Navellier emphasizes that the Stock Grader system is accessible to all investors, including those without a financial background. He reports that even his daughter successfully built a portfolio that outperformed the market last year using this system.
