Tesla has received approval for its Full Self-Driving (FSD) Supervised driver-assistance system in Slovenia, making it the sixth European country to authorize the technology. This announcement comes as part of Tesla’s strategy to expand its FSD rollout, which is expected to begin soon following the approval.
The Netherlands was the first EU country to provisionally approve the FSD system in April. Currently, in addition to Slovenia and the Netherlands, four other European countries have authorized this technology, while Finland and Greece are still evaluating potential approvals. An EU-wide vote on the FSD system could take place as early as October 6.
Recently, France has begun testing FSD-equipped Tesla vehicles after safety concerns were addressed. Tesla’s stock (TSLA) has faced a decline of 7.8% over the last six months, underperforming the broader automotive industry, which has seen a 6% decline.
