Intel Corporation (INTC) reported a 13% year-over-year increase in revenues for the second quarter of 2026, rising to $8.88 billion from $7.87 billion. A driving force behind this growth is the growing adoption of AI PCs, which saw a sequential revenue surge of 26%. Intel’s Core Ultra Series 3 portfolio has expanded significantly, with over 400 designs catering to various consumer and commercial systems, enhancing its market reach.
The company is also diversifying its offerings beyond traditional PCs, focusing on edge AI, robotics, and Physical AI, which accounted for approximately 10% of Client Computing and Physical AI Group (CCPG) revenues in Q2. More than 130 customers are currently testing or adopting Intel’s Series 3 processors for these applications. However, Intel anticipates a low-double-digit decline in PC consumption in 2026 due to high memory prices and other market constraints.
In comparison, competitors like Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) and Qualcomm (QCOM) are also seeing growth—AMD reported $3.1 billion in client revenues, up 23% year-over-year, primarily driven by demand for Ryzen processors. Qualcomm is working on its Snapdragon X2 platform aimed at enhancing AI PC capabilities. Intel’s stock has increased substantially, climbing 310.7% in the past year, outpacing industry growth of 34.8%.
