Berkshire Hathaway’s Q2 2026 Portfolio Adjustments

Berkshire Hathaway (NYSE:BRKA, NYSE:BRKB) recently released its 13F filing for the second quarter of 2026, revealing significant changes in its investment holdings under CEO Greg Abel. The company aggressively increased its position in Alphabet (NASDAQ:GOOG, NASDAQ: GOOGL), purchasing approximately $17 billion worth of shares and bringing its total to 106 million, making Alphabet its third-largest holding after Apple and American Express.

In addition, Berkshire acquired an additional 17.5 million shares of Delta Air Lines (NYSE:DAL), raising its total stake to 57 million shares, which now represents over 1% of its portfolio. Conversely, the company reduced its position in Bank of America (NYSE:BAC) by about 6%, selling more than 30 million shares, marking a trend of decreased investment in the bank over several quarters.

These moves suggest a more active investment strategy under Abel, who appears to be consolidating positions in technology and the airline industry while trimming exposure to traditional financial institutions.
