Microsoft Achieves $100 Billion in Azure Revenue
Microsoft (NASDAQ: MSFT) reported on its earnings call for the fourth quarter of fiscal 2026, which ended June 30, that its cloud platform, Azure, surpassed $100 billion in annual revenue for the first time. This milestone comes as the company plans to begin regularly disclosing Azure revenue moving forward, providing more transparency to investors. In fiscal 2026, Microsoft’s total revenue rose by 18% to $332 billion, with net income reaching $134 billion, marking a 31% increase year-over-year.
Despite this growth, Microsoft’s stock has risen by only 3% in 2026, after suffering a 27% decline earlier this year. Concerns surrounding the company’s capital expenditures of $116 billion in fiscal 2026 and competitive pressures from peers like Alphabet and Amazon—trading at lower price-to-earnings ratios—are contributing factors to investor hesitation.
