Midday Surge of Wheat Bulls Continues

The wheat complex experienced mostly higher trade on Tuesday, September 26, with Chicago SRW contracts gaining 1 to 2 cents and KC HRW futures rising 1 to 3.5 cents. MPLS spring wheat showed mixed results. In the U.S., 62% of the spring wheat crop was harvested by Sunday, 10% ahead of the normal pace and a 21% increase from the previous week. Crop conditions declined slightly, with 51% rated good to excellent.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced on Monday that there would be a diplomatic effort regarding recent Black Sea attacks, underscoring ongoing tensions in the region.

As of September 26, key wheat prices include CBOT wheat at $6.83¾, up 2 cents; KCBT wheat at $7.54, up 3.5 cents; and MIAX wheat at $6.95, up 1.25 cents.
